A late-season tip
No, I’m not eating that bloom! I learned this trick from my wife. When you’re trying to enjoy your late-season blooms, many times the cold temps inhibit their scent. So put the bloom in front of your mouth and blow on it, like you would to warm your hands. The warm air from your breath will actually activate the scent! Give it a try. (This is not a problem for me, since I have plenty of hot air to spare.)
