DAP is a great tool to have for wound care. I use it to seal the tops of my mid cuts, broken branches and i even use it to cover my ugly grafts. You can purchase it at just about any home improvement store and it is not that bad on the pocket book. There are also different range of colors to chose from so that it does not stand out so much on your plumeria. LET (Liquid Electrical Tape} is also a good alternative.
